Converting part of the car mechanical workshop into an Education Centre (Auto Mechanics)
Location
1/27 Macquarie Drive, Thomastown, Vic 3074
Council
Whittlesea City Council
At present, the property accommodates two establishments, namely Supertec Auto and Macedonian Old House Restaurant. The restaurant occupies a small section in the northeast of the building, with a distinct entrance at the front. Supertech Auto specializes in car servicing and repairs. There is a proposal to enhance the business by converting a portion of the building into two classrooms, where various automotive trades will be taught.
The primary objective of this extension is to establish auto mechanic classes, allowing students to gain practical experience within an existing workshop dedicated to car servicing and repairs. The request for approval pertains to the utilization and development of part of the warehouse building for an educational centre, accompanied by a reduction in required car parking spaces.
